PD6341 Features & Benefits
Overview
The PD6341 is an outdoor, waterproof and weather resistant, IP68 rated, 2-way wideband RF power divider and combiner designed specifically for advanced 5G wireless infrastructure. It operates across the full 600–3800 MHz frequency range, delivering reliable performance for 5G URLLC, mMTC, V2X, IoT, and DAS applications. Engineered with SMA female coaxial connectors and 50-ohm impedance, it is built for seamless integration in outdoor environments. The PD6341 handles input power levels up to 40 watts in both splitter and combiner modes under matched load conditions. Its robust design ensures stable, low-loss operation across mission-critical and high-density deployments such as smart city infrastructure, edge computing nodes, and in-building wireless systems.
Electrical
At the core of the PD6341 is a precisely etched Wilkinson-type microstrip circuit on a low-loss, high-frequency dielectric substrate, optimized for wideband operation. The design passes DC current through all ports, making it ideal for systems requiring DC biasing or active components. Variants are available with selective DC blocking or passing options to meet specific installation needs. The electrical performance is highlighted by a maximum insertion loss of 1.2 dB above the theoretical -6.02 dB split, with amplitude balance maintained within 0.3 dB and phase balance within 4 degrees. Isolation between output ports is at least 22 dB, while the input VSWR is 1.30:1 max and output VSWR is 1.20:1 max, ensuring minimal signal reflection and consistent power distribution across all operating bands. The PD6341’s performance supports the low-latency, high-reliability requirements of modern 5G systems.
Mechanical
The PD6341 is constructed for rugged durability in outdoor deployments, featuring siicone o-ring seals around all components. It features precision CNC-machined SMA jack female connectors with tri-alloy plated brass bodies to resist tarnishing and support low PIM operation. The connector pins are made from gold-plated phosphor bronze for enhanced conductivity and reliability, while the dielectric support uses virgin-grade PTFE for long-term stability. The housing is CNC-machined from aluminum and finished with a clear chemical film to provide corrosion resistance and excellent EMI shielding. Two 0.125-inch (3.18 mm) mounting holes enable secure installation in various configurations. The construction is fully RoHS compliant, using lead-free solder and a hexavalent chromium-free finish.
Physical
The PD6341 measures 1.98 inches wide by 2.73 inches deep by 0.88 inches high (50.3 x 69.3 x 22.2 mm). The connectors extend 0.65 inches (16.3 mm) from the housing, allowing for easy cable attachment in tight spaces. It operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -65°C to +85°C, and weighs 772 grams. See the 4 way power divider outline drawing for complete details.
Applications
The PD6341 is ideally suited for RF power dividing and combining in modern 5G and broadband wireless systems. Typical applications include antenna signal distribution in DAS and small cell networks, amplifier sharing and receiver combining in macro cells, and optimized coverage solutions in in-building wireless systems. It performs equally well on transmit and receive paths, supporting 5G NR, LTE, public safety bands, and legacy wireless standards across the full 600–3800 MHz range. With connector options such as N, TNC, BNC, and QMA also available, the PD6341 adapts to a wide variety of network architectures and deployment scenarios.
